Selection Notes
The CAT6A rating and 10,000 Mbit/s figure separate this plug from the CAT5/CAT6 FastConnect RJ45 variants that top out at 1000 Mbit/s; choose it specifically where 10-Gigabit PROFINET or Industrial Ethernet backbone links are planned, since a lower-category plug on the same cable would cap the link at 1 Gbit/s. PoE++ support means it can pass higher-wattage powered-device current without a separate injector at the connector. IP20 keeps it a cabinet or enclosed-panel connector, not a field/outdoor one - for exposed mounting the M12-based FC plugs in this series are the alternative.
Applications
10-Gigabit Industrial Ethernet backbone runs between SCALANCE switches or servers inside cabinets, and PoE++-powered device drops where cable-side power delivery needs to match the connector rating.
