The Siemens 6GK1901-0DB20-6AA8 is an Industrial Ethernet FastConnect M12 Plug PRO, a 4-pole D-coded M12 connector with a metal enclosure for terminating Industrial Ethernet FC TP cable via cut-and-clamp contacts, sold in packs of 8. It supports 10/100 Mbit/s transfer rates and IP65/67 protection once mated, for use with SCALANCE X208 PRO and ET 200 PRO PN / ET 200 eco PN.

Selection Notes

The D-coded, 4-pole M12 form factor and PRO-rated metal housing target SCALANCE X208 PRO and ET 200 PRO PN / ET 200 eco PN devices specifically - a standard plastic M12 connector would not match the PRO series' IP65/67 mating requirement. Cut-and-clamp FastConnect termination avoids crimping or soldering tools during panel or machine wiring, and the 10-reuse rating means the same plug body can be re-terminated during rework instead of being discarded after a single wiring attempt. PoE and PoE+ capability let this connector carry both data and power on the same M12 mating pair where the connected device supports it.
