Two BFOC ports put this OLM one step up from the single-port glass variant: it can carry the fiber segment through to a second downstream node or close a fiber ring instead of terminating at one hop. The 5-pole terminal block combines power and the volt-free signaling contact, so a supply drop or link fault reports back to the control system without extra wiring. Its 2850 m standard-distance glass fiber puts it between the short-hop plastic/PCF OLM and the single-mode long-distance variant, so pick it when the run is longer than plastic fiber allows but does not need single-mode reach.

Extending PROFIBUS DP or PA segments across high-EMI plant areas or building-to-building distances beyond copper RS485 limits, and marine or offshore panels where CE and C-Tick approvals apply.
