The Siemens 3RW5244-6AC14 is a SIRIUS 3RW52 general-performance motor soft starter configured for three-phase supply voltages from 200 to 480 V AC and a rated operational current of 250 A (at 40 °C). At a standard three-phase connection and 400 V the device is specified for motor ratings up to 132 kW; when used in an inside-delta wiring arrangement the equivalent motor rating increases to 250 kW. Control is by voltage ramping (ramp-up and ramp-down) with adjustable current limitation, giving controlled torque and reduced mechanical stress during starts and stops.
