Selection Notes
The holding brake raises rotor inertia from the brakeless winding's 26.000 kgcm² to 29.500 kgcm² and lowers shaft torsional stiffness from 101,000 to 72,000 Nm/rad, so allow for reduced servo-loop bandwidth versus the non-brake motor. Use it on vertical or gravity-loaded 16 Nm axes where the 2,000 rpm winding must hold position without drive power. Rated current, power, and speed match the non-brake variant, so drive sizing is unchanged.

Typical use: vertical or overhung axes on machine tools and material-handling stations where load must not drop when power is removed.
