Selection Notes
Same low-speed, high-torque-per-amp winding as the brake-less version of this frame (2.08 Nm/A, 11 Nm at 4.4 A, 2,000 rpm optimum speed), but with an integrated holding brake that retains a vertical or overhauling load once drive power is removed. That brake adds roughly 1.4 kg of mass and lowers shaft torsional stiffness to 25,000 Nm/rad versus the brake-less version's 34,000 Nm/rad, so pick this variant only when the axis actually needs power-off holding.
Applications
Suited to vertical or gravity-loaded synchronous servo axes in machine tools and material handling where 11 Nm at 2,000 rpm matches the load and the holding brake removes the need for a separate mechanical lock. The Drive-CLiQ encoder interface connects directly to Drive-CLiQ-enabled Siemens drive systems without separate encoder cabling.
