The Schneider Electric XALEK1701 is a ready-to-use Harmony XALE control station for the emergency switching off function, built around a red, latching mushroom-head push button wired 1NC. The ABS enclosure uses a light grey base with a yellow cover and is rated IP54, giving the station double electrical insulation for industrial and infrastructure applications.

The positive-opening 1NC contact is the mechanism that guarantees the circuit opens even if the button contacts weld, which is the reason this station is specified for an emergency switching-off point rather than a standard stop button. It is a lighter-duty IP54 alternative to the IP66/IP67/IP69K Harmony XALK emergency-stop stations, suited to indoor panels rather than washdown areas.
