The Schneider Electric VZ17 is a shaft extension for TeSys Vario switch bodies V02 to V2, letting a door-mounted handle operate a switch body recessed 300-330 mm behind the enclosure door. It provides the door interlocking function expected of a Vario handle assembly and is supplied as a set of one.

Select the VZ17 only when the back-of-enclosure-to-door distance measures 300-330 mm and the switch body is in the V02-V2 size range; a V3-V6 switch body at the same distance instead uses the larger-section VZ18, and a longer 400-430 mm run on a V02-V2 body uses the VZ30.
