The Schneider Electric TPRST009 is a TeSys island motor starter rated 9 A at AC-3 for direct-on-line control of motors up to 4 kW at 400 V (15 A at AC-1, up to 690 V). Connected through a TPRBC bus coupler, it provides thermal overload, phase-loss, phase-unbalance, and ground-current protection with a 0.18-9 A adjustable thermal setting.

At 9 A AC-3 / 4 kW, the TPRST009 sits at the low-current end of the TeSys island starter line, sized for small motors rather than the higher-power frames. Its 0.18-9 A adjustable thermal range lets one device cover a wide span of motor full-load currents without a separate overload relay, and the 210 A / 1 s short-time withstand current keeps it clear of nuisance trips during motor starting when properly coordinated upstream. It connects only through a TPRBC bus coupler and has no onboard SIL safety function, so where functional safety is required on the motor branch, a SIL-rated island starter is the right choice instead.
