The Schneider Electric TPRSS080 is a TeSys island SIL motor starter rated 66 A at AC-3 for direct-on-line control of motors up to 37 kW at 400 V (80 A at AC-1, 690 V max). Connected through a TPRBC bus coupler and a TPRSM safety module, it adds SIL 2 / PL d safe-stop functions alongside thermal overload, phase-loss, and ground-current protection.

At 66 A AC-3 / 37 kW, the TPRSS080 is a TeSys island starter whose SIL function is what sets it apart: paired with a TPRSM001 module and an external safety device, it delivers a category 0 or category 1 safe stop to SIL 2 / PL d, letting it handle the safety-related stop function for the motor branch instead of a separate safety contactor. The 900 A / 1 s short-time withstand current lets it ride through downstream fault currents without nuisance tripping when coordinated with an upstream circuit breaker. Skip the SIL variant and use a standard TeSys island starter when the motor circuit has no functional-safety requirement.
