Schneider Electric TPRSS009 TeSys Island TPRSS 9A 3P 4kW SIL2 DOL Motor Starter Module

The Schneider Electric TPRSS009 is a TeSys island SIL direct-on-line motor starter (device short name TPRSS) rated 9 A (AC-3) at up to 440 V, for motors up to 4 kW at 380-415 V. Connected to a TPRBC bus coupler, it protects and monitors the load and, with a TPRSM module, provides a SIL 2 / PL d safe-stop function.

Selection Notes

The 9 A AC-3 rating covers direct-on-line starting of motors up to 4 kW at 380-415 V, with the thermal overload adjustable from 0.18 to 9 A across trip classes 5 to 30 for motors with different starting profiles. Operation always requires connection to a TPRBC bus coupler, which supplies the 24 V DC control power and the fieldbus link back to the controller - this starter has no standalone control circuit of its own. Adding a TPRSM interface module and an external safety device unlocks IEC 61508 SIL 2 / ISO 13849-1 PL d category 2 safe-stop functions (category 0 or category 1 per IEC 60204-1).
