The MCSESM063F2CU0 doubles the fiber side of the 4-copper switch to 2 multimode ports instead of 1, enabling a fiber ring or a dedicated redundant uplink — choose it over the single-fiber 053 variant when a second fiber path is needed for HiPER Ring or MRP redundancy. Multimode reach tops out at 5 km (50/125 µm) or 4 km (62.5/125 µm); pick the single-mode CS0 family instead for longer runs. It is UL 916 listed (Open Class Energy Management Equipment, file E80146) for severe-environment installations in the US and Canada.
