- Description
The Schneider Electric LUCA1XB is a TeSys U standard control unit providing adjustable thermal-magnetic motor protection from 0.35 to 1.4 A. Plugged into a LUB12, LUB32, or LUB38 power base, it forms a complete starter-controller with Class 10 overload tripping, phase-failure sensing, and earth-fault detection for 3-phase motors up to 0.25 kW at 400 V, controlled from a 24 V AC supply.

Selection Notes
The LUCA1XB's 0.35-1.4 A range is for small sub-fractional motors, below the LUCA05B's 1.25 A floor, and still plugs into the same compact LUB12 base. Keep the current dial near the motor's actual nameplate current rather than the range midpoint, since Class 10 tripping is based on the dial setting, not the range span. Choose the LUCAX6BL/ES/FU family instead for motors under 0.15 A.
