- Description
The Schneider Electric LUCA05BL is a TeSys U standard control unit providing adjustable thermal-magnetic motor protection from 1.25 to 5 A. Plugged into a LUB12, LUB32, or LUB38 power base, it forms a complete starter-controller with Class 10 overload tripping, phase-failure sensing, and earth-fault detection for 3-phase motors up to 1.5 kW at 400 V, controlled from a 24 V DC supply.

Selection Notes
The LUCA05BL is the 24 V DC-coil counterpart to the LUCA05B, same 1.25-5 A range and Class 10 trip curve, for panels built on a DC control bus. Its lower sealed current draw (60 mA versus 70 mA for the AC version, per LUB12) is marginal but can matter on battery-backed control circuits. Move to the LUCA12B once the motor's full-load current exceeds 5 A.
