- Description
The Schneider Electric LUB38 is a TeSys U non-reversing power base rated 38 A, forming the power-contact stage of a modular motor starter-controller. Fitted with a padlockable rotary handle and blanking shutters, it accepts a plug-in LUCA, LUCB, or LUCL control unit to complete protection for 3-phase motors up to 18.5 kW at 400 V.

Selection Notes
The LUB38 extends the TeSys U power base range to 38 A and 18.5 kW at 400 V, but its rated service breaking capacity drops to 25 kA at 440 V, half that of the LUB12 and LUB32 bases, so verify this against the installation's prospective short-circuit current before specifying it as the sole protective device. It accepts the same LUCA, LUCB, and LUCL control unit family as the lower-current bases.
