- Description
The Schneider Electric GZ1E20 is a 3-pole Easy TeSys Power motor circuit breaker with an adjustable thermal-magnetic trip set at 13-18 A, giving a breaking capacity (Icu) of 10 kA at 400/415 V. It is DIN-rail mounted, operated by a push-button, and conforms to IEC 60947-2 and IEC 60947-4-1 for direct motor protection.

Selection Notes
Set the GZ1E20's thermal dial to the motor's nameplate full-load current within its 13-18 A range so the breaker trips on genuine overload rather than normal starting current. For a lower current band, the GZ1E16 covers 9-14 A; for a higher one, the GZ1E21 covers 17-23 A. Note that the breaking capacity at 400/415 V drops to 10 kA on this current step, well below the ≥100 kA of the smaller GZ1E16 below it in the range, so upstream fault-current coordination should be checked when stepping up to this rating. Where a fixed, non-adjustable trip is preferred instead of the thermal dial, the magnetic-only GZ1LE series in the same frame and footprint is the alternative.
