- Description
The Schneider Electric GV6P500H is a 3-pole TeSys GV6 motor circuit breaker rated 500 A, sized to protect 200-250 kW motors at 400/415 V. It pairs an adjustable thermal-magnetic protection curve (Ir 250-500 A, class 5/10/20) with a 70 kA breaking capacity (Icu) at 400/415 V, plus phase-loss, phase-unbalance and short-time-delay protection, operated by a direct rotary handle.

Selection Notes
Specify the GV6P500H wherever upstream prospective fault current can reach up to 70 kA at 400/415 V, for example on a main incomer close to a transformer, since the lower-rated 36 kA GV6P500F shares the same 500 A frame, mounting footprint and 250-500 A thermal dial but tops out at a lower withstand level. The 60 kA rated conditional short-circuit current at 440 V also makes the H variant the safer default when upstream coordination data is uncertain. As with its F-suffix sibling, three tripping classes (5/10/20) let the setting match motor starting duration for the same 200-250 kW motor range at 400/415 V.
