Schneider Electric GV4PE80S TeSys GV4 3P 80 A 100 kA Thermal-Magnetic Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB)

The Schneider Electric GV4PE80S is a 3P TeSys GV4 motor circuit breaker rated 80 A, with a breaking capacity of 100 kA at 400/415 V for protecting three-phase motors from 22-37 kW at 400 V. It combines thermal-magnetic protection with fixed-pickup short-time delay, phase-unbalance and ground-fault protection. The breaker is operated by a toggle and terminates on screw connectors.

Selection Notes

The S suffix marks the 100 kA Icu breaking-capacity class at 400/415 V. Pick a higher class over the base B (25 kA) version when prospective short-circuit current at the installation point exceeds the lower frame's rating, so the breaker clears the fault on its own without an upstream current-limiting device. The 80 A rated current and 22-37 kW motor power band set this unit apart from the adjacent frame sizes in the GV4 line.
