- Description
The Schneider Electric GV4PE115N is a 3-pole TeSys GV4 motor circuit breaker rated 115 A continuous current with a 50 kA breaking capacity (Icu) at 380-415 V AC. It provides thermal-magnetic protection with electronic motor-protection functions for 3-phase motors from 37-55 kW at 400 V, with a 65-115 A thermal setting range and toggle start-stop control.

Selection Notes
Beyond the 65-115 A thermal dial, the electronic trip unit adds fixed-pickup short-time delay protection (Isd at 13 x Ir), phase unbalance and phase-loss protection, and ground-fault protection, none of which are field-adjustable. The trailing N in the catalog number identifies the breaking-capacity class Schneider assigns within the GV4 range (B/N/S step up from economy to high short-circuit withstand); this unit falls in the standard 50 kA tier, so it should be matched to the prospective short-circuit current at the installation point rather than swapped for a lower class to save cost on a feeder with higher fault levels. For the 115 A frame, internal mounting positions accept OF/SD auxiliary contact blocks and MN/MX voltage trip units without changing the breaker's footprint, which keeps a panel design consistent across the motor power range it covers.
