The L designation identifies this as a magnetic-only trip unit: the 910 A instantaneous point covers short-circuit and locked-rotor protection, but there is no thermal overload element, so pair it with a separate overload relay or a self-protected motor. Breaking capacity is voltage-dependent, from 50 kA at 400/415 V down to 6 kA at 690 V, so on 690 V feeders it should sit behind upstream fault-current limiting. At 65 A it is the top current rating in the GV3L line covering motors up to 55 kW at 690 V; lower-current variants in the same GV3L range suit smaller motors, and the EverLink BTR connectors are rated for the larger cable sizes this frame requires.

Applications

Used as a motor branch disconnector and short-circuit protector ahead of a contactor in TeSys motor starter combinations for larger pumps, compressors and conveyor drives.
