Schneider Electric GV2LE05 TeSys Deca GV2LE 1 A Manual Starter and Protector

The Schneider Electric GV2LE05 is a TeSys Deca GV2 manual motor circuit breaker (GV2LE) with a fixed magnetic trip unit set for a 1 A line current and a 15.1 A magnetic tripping point. Rated for 690 V AC with a 100 kA breaking capacity across the full voltage range, it isolates and short-circuit-protects small motor branches from 0.25 kW to 0.75 kW without a built-in thermal overload function.

The LE designation marks this as a magnetic-only circuit protector: the 15.1 A instantaneous trip point guards against short circuits and locked-rotor surges, but there is no thermal overload element, so pair it with a separate thermal overload relay or an already-protected motor when continuous overload protection is required. At a fixed 1 A line rating it covers motors from 0.25 kW to 0.75 kW depending on supply voltage, one step up from the 0.63 A GV2LE04 variant in the same range. The 100 kA Icu holds across the full voltage range from 230/240 V to 690 V, which simplifies selection when the same panel design serves multiple supply voltages.

Applications

Used as a motor branch disconnector and short-circuit protector ahead of a contactor in TeSys motor starter combinations, or as a stand-alone isolator for small motors and fan loads on 35 mm DIN rail.
