Schneider Electric GV2LE04 TeSys Deca GV2LE 0.63 A Manual Starter and Protector

The Schneider Electric GV2LE04 is a TeSys Deca GV2 manual motor circuit breaker with a fixed magnetic trip unit set for a 0.63 A line current and a 9.3 A magnetic tripping point. Rated for 690 V AC with a 100 kA breaking capacity across the full voltage range, it isolates and short-circuit-protects small motor branches down to 0.12 kW without a built-in thermal overload function.

Selection Notes

The LE designation marks this as a magnetic-only circuit protector: the 9.3 A instantaneous trip point protects against short circuits and locked-rotor surges, but there is no thermal overload element, so pair it with a separate thermal overload relay or an already-protected motor when continuous overload protection is required. At a fixed 0.63 A line rating it covers the smallest motors in the GV2 range (0.12-0.18 kW at 400/415 V); larger loads call for a higher current variant in the same GV2LE range. The 100 kA Icu at both 400/415 V and 690 V means it holds full breaking capacity even at the highest rated voltage, which simplifies selection when the same panel design serves multiple supply voltages.

Applications

Used as a motor branch disconnector and short-circuit protector ahead of a contactor in TeSys motor starter combinations, or as a stand-alone isolator for small auxiliary motors and fan loads on 35 mm DIN rail.
