Use the CMOD-02 when the motor has a PTC thermistor and the control scheme needs that signal isolated from the drive's own control electronics - the isolation protects the drive if the motor-side wiring develops a fault. It is the PTC-interface counterpart to the CMOD-01 relay and digital output extension in this family; pick between them based on whether the application needs temperature sensing or extra outputs.
