- Description
The ABB 2CSG152130R1202 ELR96 is a panel-mount residual current monitor that uses a toroidal current transformer to detect earth-fault current from 30 mA to 30 A on 110-400 V AC distribution circuits. It works alongside an MCB or MCCB to IEC 60947-2 Annex M, with a single changeover contact to signal a shunt-trip or alarm circuit.

Selection Notes
The ELR96's single changeover contact and absence of a pre-alarm threshold make it the baseline model in the ELR range, suited to a single downstream breaker where only a trip or alarm signal is needed. The two-contact, pre-alarm variants in the same range add a second contact and a 60% early-warning step before the main threshold trips. Because it has no frequency filter, it responds to raw residual current without rejecting drive-related harmonics, fitting a mixed-system (Type A) application rather than a variable-frequency-drive feeder.
