- Description
The ABB 2CSF202001R3400 F202 AC-40/0.3 is a 2-pole instantaneous residual current circuit breaker rated 40 A with a 300 mA Type AC trip, rated for 10 kA conditional short-circuit current at 230 V AC. It detects sinusoidal AC earth-fault current without a time delay, suited to small lighting or socket sub-circuits on a DIN rail.

Selection Notes
The AC-40/0.3 sits in the middle of this instantaneous F202 AC group, between the 25 A and 63 A versions at the same 300 mA setting, sized for a sub-distribution circuit heavier than a single lighting branch. Its Type AC sensing covers sinusoidal residual current only, so a Type A device is still required wherever pulsed DC fault currents can occur, such as circuits feeding variable-speed drives. The instantaneous trip opens immediately on a fault rather than riding through a brief downstream nuisance trip the way the selective S-series does.
