At the top of the B-curve DS-ARC1 range, the ABB 2CSA255103R1205 DS-ARC1 B20 A30 is a 1P+N arc fault detection device with integrated RCBO rated 20 A, 30 mA Type A and 7.5 kA breaking capacity. It combines overcurrent, short-circuit, earth-fault and series/parallel arc-fault protection for one circuit in three DIN-rail modules.

As the highest current in the standard B-curve DS-ARC1 line, this 20 A version suits the heaviest resistive lighting or socket circuit the range covers; smaller circuits are better matched to the 16, 13, 10 or 6 A versions, which keep the same instantaneous-type magnetic trip band of 3 to 5 times In. If the 20 A circuit instead feeds a motor or transformer load, the C20 A30 version's 5-to-10 times In threshold avoids the nuisance tripping a B curve would risk.
