Selection Notes
At 6 A, this is the highest-current member of the S304P-C 100 kA group, which also includes the 1 A, 3 A and 4 A frames; above 6 A the family's Icn drops sharply to 25 kA at 10 A. The low let-through energy at this current level keeps the thermal-magnetic trip well within its mechanical breaking limits even at very high prospective fault currents, so it suits infeed or control circuits on boards with high fault levels. Curve C's 5-10 x In magnetic trip threshold still applies, matching loads with inrush rather than pure resistive loads. The 4-pole configuration switches all three phases plus the neutral, which is needed on TN-C-S or TT systems where the neutral must also be isolated.
