Selection Notes
At 3 A, this S304P-C family member carries a 100 kA Icn at 415 V AC, the same ceiling held by the 1 A, 4 A and 6 A frames before the rating steps down sharply once In reaches 10 A. The low let-through energy at this current level keeps the thermal-magnetic trip well within its mechanical breaking limits even at very high prospective fault currents, so it suits control or instrumentation circuits tapped from busbars with high fault levels. Curve C's 5-10 x In magnetic trip threshold still applies, matching loads with inrush rather than pure resistive loads. The 4-pole configuration switches all three phases plus the neutral, which is needed on TN-C-S or TT systems where the neutral must also be isolated.
