Selection Notes

At the top of the S302P-C current range, the 50 A rating carries only 15 kA Icn at 415 V AC - lower than the 20 kA held by the 32 A frame in the same family - so confirm the prospective short-circuit current at the board stays at or below 15 kA, or back this breaker up with a current-limiting device upstream. Curve C's 5-10 x In magnetic trip threshold still fits loads with moderate inrush such as small motors or transformers rather than purely resistive circuits. The 2-pole configuration switches both line conductors, which is required when the neutral must also be isolated on a TN-C-S or IT system.
