Selection Notes
Curve C trips magnetically at 5-10 x In, making the 2CDS382001R0324 suited to loads with moderate inrush (small motors, transformers, lighting ballasts) rather than purely resistive circuits, where Curve B would nuisance-trip on switch-on. Its 20 kA Icn at 415 V AC covers typical industrial sub-distribution boards; within the S302P-C family the 50 A and 63 A frames step down to 15 kA Icn, so this 32 A / 20 kA combination is the better fit wherever the prospective fault current at the board exceeds 15 kA but stays at or below 20 kA. The 2-pole configuration switches both line conductors, which is required when the neutral must also be isolated on a TN-C-S or IT system.
