The ABB 1TNE968902R2302 (DX571) is an S500-eCo digital input/output module for the AC500-eCo PLC platform, pairing 8 sink/source digital inputs rated 24V DC with 8 relay digital outputs rated 120-240V AC at 2A. The relay outputs switch line-voltage loads directly from a pluggable 1-wire terminal block, giving the 34 mm-wide module enough output voltage headroom for contactors or pilot lights that the transistor-output eCo module in the same family cannot drive.

Selection Notes

DX571 switches its 8 outputs with relays rated 120-240V AC at 2A, so it can drive contactors, pilot lights or small motor starters directly without an interposing relay. That relay stage trades the transistor module's fast solid-state switching for a higher output voltage range, so pick DX571 over the transistor-output version of this I/O module whenever the load itself runs on AC line voltage rather than 24V DC. Both modules share the same 34 mm width and 1-wire pluggable terminals, so the choice only affects the output stage.
