The ABB 1SDA074150R1 EKIP COM is a Modbus RS-485 communication module for the SACE Emax 2 E1.2 to E6.2 air circuit breaker range, fitting onto the Ekip electronic release to expose breaker status, measurements and control over a Modbus RS-485 fieldbus. It lets a building or plant SCADA system poll the breaker remotely instead of relying on hardwired contacts.

Selection Notes

EKIP COM is the Modbus RS-485 option on the Ekip electronic release, giving a supervisory system read access to breaker measurements, status and alarms over a fieldbus instead of individual hardwired contacts. It fits the full E1.2 to E6.2 Emax 2 frame range, so the same module applies across breaker sizes without a frame-specific variant. Choose it where the switchboard already runs a Modbus RS-485 trunk; otherwise the EKIP 10K hardwired signalling module is the simpler alternative.
