Selection Notes

The E2.2 frame carries this unit to 1600 A, above anything the E1.2 frame in this range reaches, while its performance class B holds the 42 kA Icw flat across both the 1 s and 3 s withstand ratings — a steadier short-time withstand than the E1.2N moving parts, whose 3 s figure drops below the 1 s value. Ekip Dip LI has no short-time delay (S) stage, so it trips instantaneously on a fault; for a 1600 A position needing selective coordination with downstream breakers, the LSI-equipped version of this frame and current rating is the one to specify instead.
