It delivers 42 kA ultimate breaking capacity (Icu) at 400 V AC and 42 kA short-time withstand (Icw) for 1 s, for use up to 690 V AC in drawout switchboard applications.

Selection Notes

The LSI release on this 1250 A, 3-pole moving part keeps the 42 kA/1 s Icw available as a deliberate short-time delay, so it can be set to ride through a downstream fault and let a smaller breaker trip first. That makes it a better candidate for a sub-main position than the LI-only 1250 A variant, which trips instantaneously with no coordination step. As with the rest of the Emax 2 WMP line, the fixing part for the withdrawable cradle is ordered separately.
