- Description
Rated 4000 A (Iu) and 100 kA Icu at 400 V AC, the ABB 1SDA071842R1 is a SACE Emax 2 E4.2H 4000 Ekip Dip LSI 4p F HR air circuit breaker — the highest breaking-capacity (H-class) variant of the E4.2 frame. It is built as a fixed 4-pole unit with rear horizontal terminals, carrying an electronic Ekip Dip LSI release for overload (L), short-time delayed (S) and instantaneous (I) short-circuit protection.

Selection Notes
The Ekip Dip LSI release adds S (short-time delay) to overload and instantaneous protection, letting the short-time delay be coordinated with downstream breakers instead of tripping instantaneously on every fault. The H performance class gives this E4.2 frame breaker its highest short-circuit rating (100 kA Icu, 85 kA/1 s Icw) within the frame, above the N-class (66 kA Icu) and S-class (85 kA Icu) siblings. At 4000 A rated current, this is the 4000 A variant of the E4.2 frame — the frame's 3200 A sibling is the lower-current option where full 4000 A continuous loading is not required. Supplied as a complete fixed breaker with rear horizontal terminals, it mounts directly into a vertical busbar connection without a separate cradle — the WMP variant of this same frame covers installations where the switchboard already holds a fixed part. In the 4-pole configuration, this unit suits a 4-wire (with switched neutral) distribution; choose the 3p sibling instead for a phase-only circuit.
