- Description
Rated 3200 A (Iu) and 85 kA Icu at 400 V AC, the ABB 1SDA071782R1 is a SACE Emax 2 E4.2S 3200 Ekip Dip LSI 4p F HR air circuit breaker — the selective (S-class) variant of the E4.2 frame, between N and H performance levels. It is built as a fixed 4-pole unit with rear horizontal terminals, carrying an electronic Ekip Dip LSI release for overload (L), short-time delayed (S) and instantaneous (I) short-circuit protection.

Selection Notes
The S performance class sits between the N-class (66 kA Icu) and H-class (100 kA Icu) siblings, giving 85 kA Icu at 400 V with a 66 kA/1 s Icw suited to selective coordination with downstream breakers. The Ekip Dip LSI release adds S (short-time delay) to overload and instantaneous protection, letting the short-time delay be coordinated with downstream breakers instead of tripping instantaneously on every fault. Supplied as a complete fixed breaker with rear horizontal terminals, it mounts directly into a vertical busbar connection without a separate cradle — the WMP variant of this same frame covers installations where the switchboard already holds a fixed part. In the 4-pole configuration, this unit suits a 4-wire (with switched neutral) distribution; choose the 3p sibling instead for a phase-only circuit. At 3200 A rated current, this is the 3200 A variant of the E4.2 frame — the frame's 4000 A sibling is the lower-current option where full 3200 A continuous loading is not required.
