Selection Notes
Bolted to the busbars via rear horizontal terminals, this 5000 A E6.2V breaker delivers 150 kA breaking capacity. Its Ekip Dip LSI release is the three-function version — L (overload, long-time), S (short-time delay), I (instantaneous) — so the breaker can hold a developing downstream fault open long enough for a smaller device to trip first. That selectivity makes it the right choice for an incomer or bus-tie, not a feeder end-point; where instantaneous clearing matters more than selectivity, the Ekip Dip LI sibling at the same 5000 A rating is the one to specify. Its V-class short-circuit performance level raises Icu to 150 kA between 400 and 440 V AC, tapering to 130 kA at 500-525 V and 100 kA at 690 V — specify it over the H-class sibling's flat 100 kA only when the calculated prospective fault current calls for that extra margin.
