- Description
The OXB500E3S3QT (ABB 1SCA151742R1001) is a 500 A, 4-pole automatic transfer switch from ABB's TruONE range, built to switch loads between a primary and a standby supply across 200-480 V AC. It uses a Level 3 LCD controller, a delayed I-O-II transition, a 42 kA (0.1 s) short-time withstand current, and top-fed line terminals.

Selection Notes
The switched fourth pole on this 500 A unit breaks the neutral together with the three phases, which TN-S or TT systems with multiple earth points typically need to avoid circulating neutral currents during transfer. The Level 3 controller adds a built-in LCD for on-device transfer-parameter setup and status readout, useful where a technician needs to confirm settings without a separate laptop or HMI. Top-fed line terminals (QT) suit panels wired with incoming supply above the switch; pick the QB variant instead when busbars feed in from below. For higher continuous-current duty, the 630 A frame in the same OXB TruONE range covers loads this 500 A unit does not.
