The ABB OT1000E03CP (SKU 1SCA022872R1680) is a 1000 A, 3-pole manual change-over switch rated for a 1000 V main circuit, built around an open-transition pistol handle with a 50 kA 1-second short-time withstand current (Icw). It mounts to the base of an enclosure and switches between two incoming sources without an automatic control board.

Selection Notes

Choose the 3-pole OT1000E03CP where the neutral conductor is unswitched and solidly connected in both source positions — common on TN-C-S distribution boards. The 50 kA Icw rating sets the maximum upstream fault current the switch can survive for 1 second while an upstream breaker clears a fault, so size the upstream protection device within that limit. A 4-pole version of the same frame is available where the neutral itself must transfer with the switch.
