The ABB DC522-XC (order code 1SAP440600R0001) is an S500 digital I/O module for the AC500-XC line with 16 channels individually configurable as DI or DO at 24 V DC, 0.5 A transistor outputs. It includes 8 auxiliary 0 V terminals and 8 auxiliary 24 V DC terminals for 2 to 3-wire sensor hookup, and carries an IP20 enclosure.

Selection Notes

Use the DC522-XC where the DI/DO split on a digital rack is likely to change during commissioning or over the machine's life — all 16 channels can be assigned as input or output rather than being fixed at the factory. For a station with a known, larger digital channel count, the 24-channel configurable module in the same line reduces the module count needed.
