The ABB DC523-XC (order code 1SAP440500R0001) is an S500 digital I/O module for the AC500-XC line offering 24 channels individually configurable as DI or DO at 24 V DC, 0.5 A transistor outputs. It provides 4 auxiliary 0 V and 4 auxiliary 24 V DC terminals for 2 to 3-wire hookup, operates -30 to +70 C, and carries an IP20 rating.

Specify the DC523-XC when a digital rack needs the highest configurable channel density in the DC5xx group — 24 points in one slot covers a larger mixed DI/DO station than the 16-channel module without adding a second card. Where only 16 configurable points are needed, the smaller module in the same line frees panel space and lowers cost.
