Selection Notes

CI542-DP-XC replaces the analog channels found on its analog-equipped sibling with 8 configurable DI/DO points instead, giving 24 digital points on board (8 DI, 8 DO, 8 configurable) plus the same extension slot for up to 10 additional S500 modules on the PROFIBUS node. The configurable channels can be set as input or output per point, which absorbs late changes in I/O count without a hardware swap. Choose the analog-equipped sibling instead when the station needs voltage, current, or RTD measurement.
