Stepping up from the entry PM5630, the ABB 1SAP341000R0378 (PM5650-2ETH-XC) is an AC500-XC processor module with 80 MB of program memory, two Ethernet ports, RS232/485 serial, a CAN interface and an onboard display, all running on 24 V DC within a 20.4-28.8 V DC supply window. It carries no onboard digital I/O.

At 80 MB, PM5650-2ETH-XC sits between the 8 MB PM5630-2ETH-XC and the 160 MB PM5670/PM5675 CPUs, a fit for programs and data logging that outgrow the entry module without needing the largest memory in the range. Its instruction processing time (0.00001 ms) is roughly twice as fast as the PM5630's, so it also suits applications with tighter scan-time requirements. Like its siblings it has no onboard digital I/O and needs a separate S500 I/O module plus terminal unit for field wiring.
