Selection Notes

SM560-S-FD-1 extends the base SM560-S with F-Device functionality for one PROFIsafe network, so it fits stations where the safety CPU itself must act as a PROFIsafe slave to a higher-level safety controller rather than only running local safety logic. The slightly larger 2300 kB memory leaves headroom for the added PROFIsafe stack alongside the safety program. Where no PROFIsafe network integration is needed, the plain SM560-S covers the same SIL3 function without that layer.
