The ABB 1SAP228100R0001 (CI581-CN) is a CANopen slave interface module for the AC500 S500 I/O system, combining 4 analog inputs (U, I, RTD), 2 analog outputs (U, I), 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs rated 24 V DC 0.5 A in one module. The station is extendable by up to 10 additional S500 I/O modules on the same CANopen node, keeping mixed signal types on a single bus address.

Selection Notes

CI581-CN puts mixed analog and digital I/O on one CANopen address: 4 AI plus 2 AO handle sensor and setpoint signals while the 8 DI/8 DO block covers switching duties, so a station with both signal types needs only one node instead of two. Pick the all-digital sibling variant instead when the application has no analog channels and needs extra configurable digital points in their place.
