The ABB TA5122-2AI-TC (order code 1SAP187100R0004) is an analog input option board for AC500-eCo PLCs. It reads 2 thermocouple channels covering types B, E, J, K, N, R, S and T at 16-bit resolution, with spring terminals included, giving the CPU direct temperature-sensor input without an external signal converter. The board ships with the required spring terminals, so no separate connector part is needed when wiring the eight supported thermocouple types.

Selection Notes

Pick the TA5122-2AI-TC when an application needs direct thermocouple input across the B, E, J, K, N, R, S and T types at 16-bit resolution. For RTD sensors, the TA5123-2AI-RTD board uses the same slot and spring terminals, and the TA5120-2AI-UI covers standard U/I analog input instead. The 16-bit resolution gives finer temperature steps than the 12-bit TA5120-2AI-UI board.
