Built on 9/125 um G.652D singlemode fiber, it forms a 1 m link between SC-duplex and legacy BFOC/ST singlemode ports.

This cord matches runs where one end is SC duplex and the other still uses BFOC (ST) connectors, common on older OLM and ring-coupler singlemode ports, without a separate adapter cord. The singlemode 9/125 core, 0.4 dB/km at 1300 nm and 0.3 dB/km at 1550 nm, gives a much longer usable link distance than the multimode SC/BFOC cord in this catalog, at the cost of needing singlemode-compatible transceivers on both ends. If both ends are SC duplex or LC duplex, use the SM SC/SC or SC/LC variant instead.
