Both ends use SC duplex, so this cord fits runs where every device in the path already standardizes on SC ports, such as switch-to-OLM or patch-panel-to-patch-panel links, without needing an adapter. The OM4 core holds attenuation to 3.5 dB/km at 850 nm and 1.5 dB/km at 1300 nm, giving more link-budget margin than OM3 on longer multimode backbone runs. For a mixed-connector run terminating on BFOC (ST) or LC hardware, the SC/BFOC or SC/LC variants in this series are the alternatives.
