Choose the low-overload (LO) 18.5 kW rating for variable-torque loads such as pumps and fans that only need 150% overload for 3 s and 110% for the remaining 57 s of the 300 s cycle. Pick the 15 kW high-overload (HO) rating instead for constant-torque loads such as conveyors or mixers, since HO trades continuous power for a deeper 200%/3 s and 150%/57 s overload margin. Frame FSD1 is the smaller of the two frame sizes used across this power step, so confirm panel clearance before stepping up to a higher-power sibling in the next frame size.
