Selection Notes
ST in the product designation places this module in the Standard performance class, one step above BA (Basic) modules such as a plain DQ 64x24VDC output card, adding per-channel isolation (each of the 16 channels is its own potential-separated group) and the SIL2/Cat.3/PL d safety-related tripping rating from FS02 onward. That per-channel isolation is what lets the module accept mixed voltage classes on different channels within its 24-48 V UC/125 V DC range, unlike a fixed single-voltage output card. Choose it over a BA-class output module when individual channels drive different voltage loads or when a channel's shutdown state needs to reach a safety-rated PL d/SIL2 outcome; where all channels share one supply voltage and no safety rating is needed, a BA-class module costs less rack space per channel.
